Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT)Assertive community treatment is a way of delivering a full range of services to people who have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, severe depression or bipolar disorder. The goal of assertive community treatment is to keep people out of the hospital and help them to have a life that isn’t dominated by having a mental illness.
